LRF files (Low Resolution Files) are automatically generated by DJI cameras and drones and serve as compressed preview videos alongside the actual 4K recordings. Although technically MPEG-4 data, most media players and video editing programs do not recognize the .LRF file extension and refuse playback. Since LRF files are intended only for internal previews, the high-resolution MP4 files should be processed further, if available. Renaming .lrf to .mp4 should generally result in a playable file. In practice, however, some devices and programs cannot handle the additional information in the .lrf file's MP4 container. Converting the file at file-converter-online.com removes this metadata from the MP4 container, creating a fully compatible MP4 file.
